The artist who aims at perfection in everything achieves it in nothing.
Eugene Delacroix
What a delightful quote I found this morning. It is just the thing I needed for today. If you are not already familiar with the Fly lady I encourage you to visit her site. It has truly changed my life. So as I make a list of things to do today I am throwing out perfectionism and bringing in progress. I love it. The last few weeks I have gotten so much done and I am so happy to be freeing myself of clutter and junk that is no longer needed. Lately I have spent a lot of time in the kitchen cooking and baking and cleaning. In order to keep my sanity I have to make myself take 15 minute breaks from the kitchen. lol. I love to cook and I love learning to do so as well. This holiday season i am planning on helping my grandmother and my mother cook for Christmas dinner and I am hoping to make several small gift baskets of treats for friends. I haven't reached my goal of caroling at nursing homes but i have started and will continue to pursues it this next week. So anyway I am just thanking the Lord for a new day in which to serve Him and to be a blessing to my family and friends who I love so dearly.

I have a problem with wanting things to perfect myself. That is a great New Year's resolution. Hope you don't mind if I steal it for myself, too. Cause lightening up and not trying to be so perfect and want everything so perfect will surely make life much easier.
On another note, it's very refreshing to see someone blog about the Lord. May his blessings rain upon you and yours in the New Year.
