Sunshine
~ Anthony J. D'Angelo
The weather forecast is shiny today. I am going to see the Broadway performance of Oliver the theatrical production of Oliver Twist a wonderful book by Charles Dickens (i really am not ignorant simply very busy and easily distracted) one of my favorite authors. I am so excited even though I have to go alone I will still have so much fun.
We have raised approx. $1400 towards our trip to West Coast. My goal is to raise at least 1/2 of the money needed. So we are aiming to raise $4200. So we need to raise at least $2800 by the end of this month. I'm optimistic about our prospects at this point. we have so many different things going on that I know we will raise quit a bit. I am really looking forward to this West Coast and I pray that our hard work pays off.
Spanish isn't going so well in my opinion. I am still getting fairly good grades but I do not think I am learning as much as I would like to. Oh well maybe I am pushing to hard. I obviously am getting into it because the rough draft of my last paper was full of prepositional phrases. In Spanish you use a lot of them. I'll see you next time.

So be the you God wants you to be today. Don't let anyone cajole you into being someone esle, simply be yourself. God made us each individuals for a reason. He gave you the tools to be who you are and nobody else. So be who God made you to be with everything you have. You are a unique design fashioned by a master hand.
Trent Urijah was born on Thurs. Sept 18th. This little guy is truly a unique creation of God. We are all so thankful that he is a healthy baby, especially after his sisters premature birth. We give God the glory for giving my friends Isabel and Ben a healthy child to care for.

New Job?
So that's whats going on in my life at the moment. I am also very busy planing and organizing everything for our trip to West Coast Conference which is only 10 weeks away. I am so excited. I can't wait to see all of my friends and to hear the awesome preaching I know will come. We are bringing two brand new converts with us. Both are in our college and career class and it is so exciting to have them become a part and see all that God is doing in thier lives.
My Spanish is coming along but I am really hoping to find some way to incorporate more spanish in to my life. I need some language immersion to really get me going. I am trusting the lord to lead me in this area as well.

God is Great
"I long to accomplish a great and noble task,
but it is my chief duty to accomplish small
tasks as if they were great and noble."
- Helen Keller
What a quote! This is the quote I will keep in mind as I begin my brand new job. Yup I just got a new job. I am now a personal assistant and nanny. I will be living in and working long hours. Fortunately it is only one almost 3 year old. I think it will be a good job for me but I have a month to decide if it is a good fit. Also I am going to get a car soon as I will need it for this job. I am very excited and nervous. I keep popping back and forth in emotions. Anyway, I will do my best to accomplish this small task as if it were a great and noble deed. I believe the lord will help me with this. In fact I know he gave me this job and he is working out all the details even as I write.
I serve a great and awesome God. I am making a new resolution to live by faith and stop limiting Him. The Bible says “ye have not because ye ask not” So I am resolving to look at things through the filter of what aligns with the word of God as his will and asking for some things. One of the things I believe is that He will make a way for my Father to be financially able to quit his second job and that my family will all be in church together on Wednesday nights. These things are definitely not against biblical standards and therefore fall under the will of God for his people heading. He will honor the faithfulness of his servants. Not because we deserve it but because he so loves us.
Thank you lord for this job and all of the things you are about to do in my life and that of my church and family.
Adiós amigos. Hasta luego!

Time Flies
How did it get so late so soon? Its night before its afternoon. December is here before its June. My goodness how the time has flewn. How did it get so late so soon?
– Dr. Seuss
Sorry for not posting earlier but as you can see from my quote above tempus fugit (time flies).
This last week I had a chance to volunteer at the radio station KTLF. I have never been in a radio station before and thought it was quite interesting. I answered phones for their share-a-thon with several other volunteers. All of the people were friendly and made the time go by quickly. My friend Sis. Janie was the one who asked me to come with her because she listens to KTLF all the time. Their music is often mellow and is good if you like traditional or slower contemporary Christian music.
I also started my Spanish class last week and I believe everything is going well. I wasn’t sure if the transition would go well but so far I have done everything well. I am surprised at how much I enjoy online classes. I think it is easier for me because I love technology and dialogue. I get both of those in the online class. Instead of going to class and listening to one person drone on about things that are sometimes interesting and sometimes not, I get to read posts from other students and respond to them therefore making dialogue possible. I also get to use my computer all the time. I’m online everyday and I love it. I dropped my speech class because it simply was too much and the teacher was very unprofessional. If I follow my new plan I should make it into UCCS in the spring semester of 2009. This means that I might take 5 or 6 years to finish instead of 4 but I will have good grades and that is what matters.
I also had the chance to babysit for a family that I only babysit for occasionally. They just had a new little one and so haven’t needed me for some time. I love watching Tyler and his little sister Meaghan is just as fun. We played with his train set then painted wonderful artwork with lots of colors. We also played outside and ate dinner together. I so enjoy being with these little ones. I got another chance to work with my young friends in Sunday school. We didn’t do anything too exciting this Sunday because it was simply a review of the last 13 weeks but I still had fun because I was with the children.
Another project I have been working on is organizing the fundraising for our young people to go to a West Coast Conference in Fresno, CA. This family conference enriches and strengthens our young people and promotes unity. It is also a great place to meet other young people and see the young people from other states that you may only see once a year. I have just been put in charge of the fund raising and am very excited about getting some great fund raisers going. We have gotten started a little late this year, but I plan on doing better next year. So far everything is going pretty smoothly, although, I have a tendency to stress out about minute details.
So as you can see I have been a little busy with school work, volunteering, fund raising organization, and working with my children. I love being busy though and don’t really mind the time flying unless I am pressing a time constraint. I’ve done pretty well though.
Until we meet again……………..
